Noxious Weed Technician II/Equipment Operator 1082RN

Apply treatment of noxious weeds on roadsides, identify noxious weeds, operate spray truck, apply pesticides to noxious weeds, and complete required paperwork. Follow safety directives of department, material safety data sheets (MSDS), and state/federal regulations, including protective equipment and clothing. Maintain equipment used in applications, ensure that equipment is kept clean and in good working condition and load chemicals. This employee will fill in as an equipment operator during the off season, and/or when chemical application is not feasible. Example of these duties would include, but not limited to, operating job related equipment for snow and ice removal, mowing, brush removal etc.

Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
