Assist County Appraiser by compiling and recording information regarding ad valorem personal and real property for taxation purposes. Perform data entry received from the appraisers. Assist public as needed. Answer telephone and office duties as requested. Perform document imagery functions. Assist co-workers with work overloads by being available to assist all Appraisal Department sections when assigned. Assist public with valuation and assessment inquires by answering telephone requests and direct calls and assisting general public at the front counter. Classifies and assesses values of motor vehicles for tax rolls. Create and maintain commercial and individual personal property appraisal records. Discover, list and appraise commercial and individual personal property using manuals and guidelines in accordance with state laws, statutes and directives. Assess value for added or abated taxes in Personal Property section. Conduct Payment Under Protest and valuation appeal hearings for Personal and Real Property sections. Data enter new construction, map splits and combinations and data enter twenty-five percent (25%) re-inspections and final review for Real Property section. Calculate lot sizes for Real Property section. Perform document imagery functions for Personal and Real Property sections.
