Provide Intake and Assessment services which would allow law enforcement to return to street patrol or other duties. Advise law enforcement of placement options and risk to youth, family and/or community. Report suspected child abuse. Interview children, youth and families who are referred to the program by law enforcement. Refer children, youth and families to community services (i.e., drug and alcohol, mental health, financial assistance, etc.). Advise families on juvenile court process. Resolve family disputes through mediation and/or behavior contracts. Provide follow-up services to families. Arrange for emergency placement, care for children until placement occurs and transport children to placement if necessary. Prepare and submit intake forms. Disperse information gathered to the appropriate agencies. Assist in maintaining facility cleanliness. Set role model for appropriate behaviors.
