Ensure accurate execution of all mapping projects. Create and maintain maps using GIS software and review and update GIS data for completeness, accuracy and neatness. Perform data entry received from the real estate appraisers. Assist the public as needed and other office duties as requested. Process deeds; answer telephone; provide assistance at front counter and office duties as required. Maintain current splits and combinations within the mapping system. Ensure mapping us updated to PVD specifications and statutory deadlines. Update and maintain road vacations and annexations within the mapping system. Create maps based on property legal descriptions as requeste4d for appraisal staff, other governmental offices and the general public. Maintain land use layers in GIS. Oversee and perform document imagery functions for personal property and real property. Retrieve imaged documents upon request from office staff, the public or other governmental agencies. Assist in training of new clerical staff. Data entry and/or quality control of new construction, reinspections and final review for real property. Process all deeds, interpret legal descriptions from deeds, reference maps for townships, township properties of assessment rolls to cross-reference and update appraisal records. Review sales validation questionnaires for accuracy and completeness, build sales files for validation by field appraisers, prepare and mail sales questionnaires. Update and maintain ownership records in CAMA system and tax files. Answer telephone; provide assistance to customers on the phone and at the front counter. Assist co-workers with work overloads as directed and assist with scheduling, file development and results processing from appeal hearings.
