This position is responsible for the supervision of adult felony offenders assigned to intensive supervision by the District Court. It requires assisting and counseling clients to change their behavior, referring for appropriate interventions, and addressing crimineogenic risk factors with the goal of public safety. Explain the rules of supervision to clients and counsel them on how to abide by these conditions. Assist clients in obtaining substance abuse treatment, housing, employment and other treatment interventions directly or through referral. Guide clients in developing and implementing a case plan for meeting goals and supervision requirements while addressing crimineogenic risk factors. Enhance clients’ behavior to determine appropriate resources and interventions. Enter detailed notes and client information into the Kansas Department of Corrections documentation system. Interact with clients in the office and field while ensuring the safety of self and other officers. Accurately maintain files and paperwork regarding clients’ information.
